CHARACTER PROFILE:

THE ACTOR:

A young man struggling with emotional agony, anxiety, and loneliness is the main character of my music video. His languid gait, gloomy eyes, and gloomy surroundings initially highlight his desperation. The tone is made more solemn by his dark, unadorned clothing. His journey toward optimism and resiliency is depicted through subtle changes in lighting, body language, and facial emotions throughout the video. At the end, he seems a little stronger, signifying the value of persevering despite hardship.

SCREEN PLAY:

We discussed a number of ideas and themes before deciding on a sentimental, self-reflective story. I always had a story in mind that put more emphasis on visual storytelling than on spoken words. By reducing the amount of performing, we concentrated on using composition, lighting, and storytelling approaches to convey strong feelings. With this method, we were able to create a polished, cinematic video that was visually stunning and engrossing. Our meticulous attention to detail made sure that each shot added to the emotional journey, producing a captivating experience without coming off as amateurish. The finished product offers a compelling narrative that is visually compelling by fusing beauty and significance.

MOOD BOARD:

I used lyrics from my favorite movies' posters and incorporated them to the mood board. I used Canva to modify them. The songs I chose have great lighting and camera movement, as you can see in the mood board.

DEVELOPMENT

EDITING:

we used CapCut to edit my music video, working with a total of 25 clips, 22 of which were finished and featured in the movie. Sorting the clips on the timeline and choosing when to cut or allow scenes to unfold was the first step. Despite its seeming simplicity, this was essential to setting the movie's tempo. I utilized black fades for abrupt transitions to make the scenes flow more naturally. Since I had previously changed the lighting, exposure, and brightness during filming to create the correct mood, I decided against using color grading. Because my music video is a narrative, I also used CapCut to add on-screen text for important phrases.

PERSONAL CONTRIBTION:

Just Umer and I made up our team, and we had already assigned our positions. Umer served as director of photography, editor, co-director, and writer, among other roles.

However, we decided to add another character while filming, so my friend Affan was asked to act in the music video. We were able to finish the shot with few retakes thanks to his outstanding acting abilities, which made the filming process go more smoothly and effectively.

THE DIGI PACK:

COVER

I used a moment from my music video with the title *Presence – Just Hold On* as the cover picture when I prepared the digipak. Because of the eerie atmosphere created by the twilight location, I utilized white text to make it easier to see. I used Canva to alter the entire design.

BACK

I worked on modifying the album's back cover, although at first I had trouble understanding how to do it. I was able to successfully finish it after doing some study and experimenting with various methods. I created the complete design using Canva. The actions I took for editing are shown below.

I used Canva to design and modify the digipak's front and back covers.

CD DESIGN

The same image that appeared on the CD cover was used for the CD design.

THE SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE:

We utilized the cover of our digipak for the social media page. We made sure the image matched up precisely by using the Griddy app on our phone to divide it into equal portions so we could change its size for the stream. Emojis that represent tranquility and serenity were incorporated into the bio.
